Creating a Playlist from Spotify with the App

An UNLIMITED Subscription is required for this feature to appear in a Soundtrack Portal account. Playlist is NOT a feature in an ESSENTIAL Subscription. What's the difference?

IMPORTANT! To use this playlist feature, a Spotify account is required to be linked to Soundtrack to import a playlist from Spotify.

When you link a Spotify account to the Soundtrack App, to import a playlist from Spotify, the Soundtrack App will save that Spotify account login information and the Spotify account will remain linked to the Soundtrack App.

You will need to unlink the Spotify account manually if you no longer want the Spotify account attached to Soundtrack.

REMEMBER TO UNLINK A SPOTIFY ACCOUNT FROM SOUNDTRACK AFTER IMPORTING A PLAYLIST FROM SPOTIFY.

Instructions on how to unlink a Spotify account from Soundtrack can be found in this Knowledge Center Article:

Any public Spotify playlist with a minimum of 5 songs can be used to create a playlist. You can import up to 5 Spotify public playlists.

  1. Once paired, on the bottom menu click create and click Spotify import. Remember to make the playlist public on Spotify.

Song availability in Soundtrack Your Brand will depend on the licensing agreements at the current time, and song availability is continuously updated. There may be songs that are available in Spotify but may not yet be available on Soundtrack Your Brand.

If you have your Explicit filter on, Explicit songs will be grayed out and may not be added to your playlist. To turn the Explicit filter on/off, this must be done by logging in through a web browser onto your venue location’s Soundtrack Portal in the Company settings.
