Switching Encore Music Devices - Unpairing and Pairing

Overview

If you have an active Soundtrack Your Brand (SYB) subscription paired to a player device or laptop and you need to switch to a different device, you'll need to unpair the old device, and then get the new pairing code to pair the new device. You'll need to log into the Soundtrack web portal on a computer to manage this. It's handy to know this process in case your usual device has an issue or gets lost. (Yes, you can still unpair even if you don't have the old device with you.)

Switching Devices

Setup and Sync:
1. Login to your Soundtrack Your Brand web portal (not the SYB mobile app).

If your venue has a Soundtrack Your Brand account, but you've lost your login or you're a new to the venue, Support Center can help! Fill out this form choosing Commercial Background Music and answer "Has the main contact for this location changed?" accordingly.

1. Navigate to the "Zones" tab at the top right.

1. Access each active "Zone" and select "Switch Device".

1. After clicking unpair, a new pairing code will generate. Sync your new Lenovo M8 using the new pairing code provided in the Zone view. Navigate to the Soundtrack app on the Lenovo M8 and select "use pairing code".

When the user clicks unpair on a Zone in the SYB portal, this notification will immediately appear on the previously paired device, if you have that device open to the SYB app. Please make sure that device is not currently live as the music source for an event before clicking unpair.
