Connection Points

Computer to V-160HD: Connect your computer's video output (HDMI or SDI) to an available input on the V-160HD.
V-160HD to Display: Connect the V-160HD's Program output to your display or projector.

V-160HD Configuration

Input Assignment: Assign the computer input to a desired channel on the V-160HD.
The connected computer running Wordly AI should have Internet access for translation abilities.
Output Mode: Set the V-160HD's output resolution to match your desired display setting (e.g., 1080p).

Creating a Crop Area Overlay - 2 ways

There are two ways to crop the overlay. You can crop it using the mixer itself:

Or you can crop it using the software (V-160HD RCS Ver.3.1.0) for both Windows and macOS.

Creating a Crop Area Overlay with Software Control

Download and launch the V-160HD RCS Software for Windows or macOS
Connect the laptop with the RCS software to the Roland V-160HD - see the

Select the SETUP button under the PinP&Key 1
This will open the PinP&Key 1 Window
Adjust the settings on each area of Crop and Positioning to set the viewable area of the Wordly AI to showcase the text area.
You can preview the CROP area in the preview or program window.
Activate the lower 3rd using the PGM button

Creating a Crop Area Overlay with Hardware Control

Access the Menu: Press the [MENU] button on the V-160HD.
Navigate to Output: Use the arrow keys to select the "OUTPUT" tab.
Select "Crop": Choose the "Crop" option.
Press the Menu button next to the onboard screen
Select the PIP&KEY selection
Select the PIP & KEY you want to adjust
Adjust all settings to best support your lower 3rd settings
Utilizing you cropping and positing settings, a wide variety of options are available.
While adjusting the settings to best support the style of screen and text in Wordly AI you can preview the look on the preview bus or the program bus
Activate the lower 3rd via the PGM button
