Choosing a Meeting Space

In this article:

The meeting spaces are broken down into three tiers based on their capacity and technology available. It's important to know the differences between the room tiers as you should be booking the room based on your needs.

Meeting Space Tiers

Tier 1

In Tier 1 spaces, there will be very little seating as they're designed for 2-4 people. These spaces are designed as a quiet space meant to take a call or have a private conversation. They are located conveniently in the corners of the building so you can discuss with someone who sits near you. Some have a 32" monitor with an HDMI connection. None of them have hybrid functionality aside from a laptop.

Tier 2

Our Tier 2 rooms are medium sized rooms that seat 5-10 people. These are the most popular meeting rooms at Schiller Park as they're centrally located. These rooms utilize the CrestronGO mobile app installed on iPads that live in the rooms. These allow for wireless switching of a Crestron DM switcher either located in the room or in one of the IDF closets on the second and third floors. The inputs available are the HDMI on the table, wePresent, or Apple TV for Mac users. The switcher also routes audio sources through built-in speakers in the ceilings of these rooms. Each meeting room contains a conference phone. These rooms do not have hybrid functionality besides connecting via your laptop and dialing in with the conference phones. There are no webcams.

Tier 3

The Tier 3 rooms seat 14-30 people and are typically used for the most important meetings. These rooms are usually utilized by executive level employees or training for new employees. Only three of the meeting rooms at Schiller Park fall under the Tier 3 category.

In the below layouts, we've highlighted Tier 1, 2, and 3 meeting rooms on the second and third floor. The first floor does not contain any meeting spaces.

Tech overview

The technology available in each room correlates to the room's tier classification. For Tier 1 rooms, since they're designed for small meetings, if tech is available in that room, it'll be a small display with speakers and HDMI or VGA inputs.

For the Tier 2 spaces, you'll have ceiling speakers available to you, as well as WePresent, AppleTV, and HDMI/VGA inputs. Some of the spaces are equipped with projectors and 65" displays.

Tier 3 meeting spaces are designed for large meetings, so in addition to the technology above, you'll also have multiple projectors available to use.
