01.png Live - check to make the stream live. The stream will be visible to any user group in the app who has permission to see it. Streams update in the list on the fly, in real-time (45s).

02.png Name - name the stream with something user-friendly as this will be seen by the users in the stream dropdown list.

03.png Unique ID - Chime assigns a unique ID based on the "Name" but you can edit this if you choose.

04.png Show in Stream List - check to make the stream appear in the dropdown list of streams in the front end of the site. Bear in mind that the user needs the correct permission to view the stream or it will not appear for them even though this button is checked.

One of the reasons you may need to have a stream live but not showing in the stream list is if you have embedded it in a page. You may also be pushing a stream to users instead of allowing them to choose it from the list.

05.png Provider - choose External Stream or Streambridge - IVS (Chime built-in streaming)

External - enter the stream URL provided by the streaming provider

Click [View] to preview the live stream.

Streambridge - IVS - a new ingest endpoint will be created when you hit save. You can then get the streaming details from the [info] button on the main list to give to your streaming team.

06.png Start Time - choose the scheduled start time of the stream. This will be displayed in the exported data. It can be adjusted on the fly during the stream or afterward. This start time doesn't restrict when you can stream, it is used for the export data and the pre-stream countdown timer.

07.png End Time - choose the scheduled end time of the event. This will be displayed in the exported data. It can be adjusted on the fly during the stream or afterward. This start time doesn't restrict when you can stream, it is used for the export data.

It is important to set your stream start and end time accurately. If you set your stream times from midnight to midnight (24 hours) on the show day, your viewing percentages in the export data will look very low. A participant who attended the whole event, 0900-1700 will only show as having viewed 33% of the stream.

08.png Interprefy URL - enter the Interprefy URL if using Interprefy for live audio translation.

09.png Chat Stream - choose a chat stream to associate it with a live stream (separate to the app config). This choice only affects the export data, when you do the chat stream export, it tells you which live stream it was associated with.

10.png Visible to User Groups - choose which user groups the stream will be available to.

11.png Save - click save to save the stream and generate any IVS ingest endpoints. Save & Close - click save & close to save the stream, generate any IVS ingest endpoints and close the stream edit window.
